The Royall House grounds are available for private function rentals.
Weddings, Bat Mitzvahs, graduation parties, reunions, garden parties and more have
all been held at the Royall House during the past several years.
The colonial-style gardens and historic buildings provide an elegant backdrop
for all types of events and our site's rental rates compare very favorably with
similar function venues.
We make our historic property available for private functions (Events) in a
fashion consistent with our mission and to help raise public awareness and
appreciation of the Royall House and Slave Quarters. The revenue generated
through rentals helps offset the cost of preserving the buildings and operating
the site as a museum and educational resource.

Amenities
- Outdoor and Indoor Events may be held:
- Outdoor Events of up to 125 persons may be held on the grounds, with basic
provision for catering space
- Indoor meetings, light meals, and similar events may be held for up to 50 persons
in the Slave Quarters meeting room, which includes 2 restrooms
- Six banquet tables and 60 folding chairs are available for use during your event.

Special Event Packages - Save!
- Special Outdoor Wedding Package
- 4-hour rental for $500 (save $100) (plus set-up and cleanup fees)
- General Outdoor Package
- 4-hour rental for $500 (save $100)(plus set-up and cleanup fees)
- Note: a tent is required for events of more than 50 Persons
- Other Outdoor Events held on our beautiful grounds
- 2-hour rental minimum (at $150 per hour), plus set-up and cleanup fees
- Note: a tent is required for events of more than 50 Persons
- Special Indoor Event Package (in our meeting room)
- 2-hour rental for $250 (save $50) (additional hours at $150 per, plus set-up and cleanup fees)

Costs and Payment Schedule
- Rentals are $150 per hour, with discounts given for special "Packages,"
plus set-up and clean-up fees, as calculated in the Event Rental Agreement
- Deposit: An initial Deposit of Fifty Per Cent (50%) of the Total Rental Fee
(above) is due upon confirmation of the Rental Date for the Event.
- The balance of the Total Event Fee is due 30 days prior to the Rental Date for the Event.
- Community nonprofits may receive concessionary rates at our discretion
Restrictions
- The use of tents is permitted for all Outdoor Events, and required for
Outdoor Events of more than 50 persons. Tents must be erected by a professional,
insured company.
- The "Out Kitchen" in the Slave Quarters has a sink and food
preparation area, but there are no stoves or ovens and cooking must be done off-site.
- If you use a Caterer, specific rules concerning insurance will apply
- Alcoholic beverages must be served by a Caterer or Bartender;
no self-service of alcohol is permitted.
- Loud or amplified music is not permitted;
any music played outside must end by 9:00 pm as a courtesy to our neighbors.
A signed Rental Agreement is required for all Event rentals.
