The Royall House and Slave Quarters site is located at 15 George Street in Medford, Massachusetts, near the intersection with Main Street and next to the Royall Park.

Hours

Weekends in June through October, 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. Last Tour at 4:15 p.m. Archaeological Exhibit is open same hours and days. Group Tours and Exhibit Visits are also offered on weekdays. Please see Group Tours.

Directions by Car

Take exit 32 off 93. Proceed on Route 60 West (Salem Street) to second light (Medford Square). Stay to the left. Bear left to enter Main Street going South. (You will go over the Mystic river and under an overpass. Keep to the right. Bear right at Mobil Station to stay on Main Street (Dunkin' Donuts on your left) and proceed to intersection of Main Street and George Street (blinking light). There will be a park with a brick/iron fence on your right. Make a right on George Street, proceed one half block and park on the right. Detailed map.

MBTA Bus 96 from Harvard Square or Davis Square (Red Line) stops on Main Street, next to George Street: MBTA Bus 96 Schedule. (From Medford Square, the 96 stops on George Street next to the Royall House.

Group Tours

Group defined: A Group is defined as 10 or more people.

We welcome Group Tours as well as Group Visits to our Archaeological Exhibit. All Group Tours include the Archaeological Exhibit. Group Tours and Visits are offered during on weekends and weekdays. All Tours are guided by our expert Guides; the Exhibit is self-guided, but staff is available to answer your questions.
