The Royall House first opened to the public as a museum on Patriot’s Day 114 years ago, for an exhibit of antiques and ephemera organized by the Sarah Bradlee Fulton chapter of the DAR. The exhibit catalog shows the box-like Tidd addition to the house, the Summer House in the gardens behind the house (though it had been dismantled 12 years before), and of course “Isaac Royall,” complete with sword.
